Welcome to The Lucent Window

Destined to house some of my photographic art interests, the name "lucent"  was chosen for it defines a glowing source of light; a great metaphor for enlightenment. Every window provides two points of view: inside looking out and outside looking in, making the window a pivotal point for perspective and retrospective. Journey to the center

Photography perfectly fulfills our insatiable desire to view and record existence. Images stimulate our inherent curiosity. 

Because image arts are such powerful communication tools, they're found everywhere in our living spaces, from billboards to magazines. They rarely leave us indifferent, making them ideal for effectively conveying emotion.

Our interaction with an image takes place on multiple levels. Our sense of sight is a direct door to a spiritual space where, not only language and culture are instantly bonded, but the connection reaches both emotional and spiritual sensibilities. Images simultaneously stimulate the conscious and subconscious, at times silently exposing us with brutal honesty, other times with delightful enchantment. This versatility facilitates focused purpose or simply, pure enjoyment. An image provides fulfilling gratification, at times personal, other times concentric. Images are capable of reaching multitudes, across cultures, religions and generations. They're powerful enough to incite us; conversely, solicit our sympathies. A single image can instantly rekindle deep memories and trigger emotions tied to people, places and times gone by, immersing us in timeless space, making them both delightful and heartrending, giving them the power to transport and transfix us.
